Inspiration & Ideas

I find that I am always gathering info and ideas for inspiration when I finally get seated at my scrap table. I enjoy the process almost as much as the actual hands on project. Being able to mentally picture layouts and gather materials along the way is part of how my mind works :) I get a LOT of ideas from the Canadian Scrapbooker quarterly magazine along with the Basic companion books they have been releasing. I am going to try some new techniques on the next wedding album I have lined up. Making my own pattern paper is one item I want to do more of - I tried it on one layout in the last project and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Practice makes perfect! I have the Disney supplies on hand now and just waiting for the pics to go with that album project. I am also waiting for pics for two more projects - it is funny how people procrastinate a great deal even with just the first step in scrap booking! Gathering the pics. I know this is a really big step. And yet, it is so rewarding if you relax and allow yourself to enjoy that experience. Those memories, whether happy or of days missed in the past, are precious and important to preserve for the future. The best advice is to just take the step - just set aside an hour one day to tackle the boxes or envelopes and sort for one hour. On that note - I set off to sort through piles of supplies I've been setting to the side - I have some procrastination issues of my own :)
